Say goodbye to the old stuffy cap & gown high school portraits and say hello to showing your personality, excitement and relief to close one chapter and start another! These three wanted their cap & gown portraits taken at the same location we did their senior portraits the previous fall. Off to the Loveland Bike Trail we went and this time I think we took a trail to an even pretty spot than the first time.
It wasn’t easy getting a bunch of teenagers, two middle aged women, a wagon full of camera gear & props through the woods and eventually to the water but we made it happen. I am so glad we did as the kids were so comfortable there and it allowed their true identities shine through. The smiles, smirks and sassiness were all seized by the lens. Portraits like these that capture the real person are my favorite although I do like a properly posed one every now and then too.
Closing out a chapter in your life through portraits is a fantastic way to celebrate the good times, accomplishments, highs and lows that came along with that journey. In the future they will be able to look back on these pictures and hopefully experience those emotions again and again.
I’m not sure where the next chapter will take each of them but I am fairly positive it will be filled with lots of fun adventures, bigger than life stories and priceless memories they made along the way.
